Peanut Butter Frosted Brownies

Awhile back I made thebestbrowniesever.  And then I made them even better.  And today I'm doing it again.  If you love peanut butter and chocolate you'll definitely want to try these.

The frosting is not super peanut-buttery, but it complements these brownies perfectly.  They are pretty rich so you really can cut them into "small squares".

None of this "half-the-pan-qualifies-as-one-brownie, right?", necessary.

Tell me you've done that too.

Peanut Butter Frosted Brownies
Frosting recipe from Your Cup of Cake

1 9x13 pan brownies, cooled (You can use any brownie recipe you want, but I highly recommend this one. I substituted Reese's peanut butter chips for most of the chocolate chips)

For Frosting:
-1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
-1/2 cup butter, softened
-2 tsp vanilla extract
-3 cups powdered sugar
-3 Tbsp milk

Beat together peanut butter and butter until creamy and smooth. Add vanilla.  Add powdered sugar 1 cup at a time, slowly mixing after each cup.  With mixer on low, add milk 1 Tbsp at a time until frosting becomes fluffy and to desired consistency.

Spread frosting onto cooled brownies using an offset spatula.

Refrigerate frosted brownies about 1 hour before cutting to set the frosting and make them easier to cut.

  1. These look amazing! I love the addition of PB chips in the brownies. PB and Chocolate are a match made in heaven, definitely going on my baking list. Pinned!
