Have you seen all the Halloween candy appearing on store shelves?
Have you bought any yet?
Not me.
Once it's opened I can't stay away from it.
I always scoff at the price of the huge bag of candy at Costco, but by the time Halloween comes around I know I've already gone through at least that much.
It's too tempting!
If you got sucked into buying Halloween candy early, this is a great way to use it up and get it out of sight. Normally I am not a huge Milky Way fan but I love these! Gooey and caramely.
Enjoy!
Milky Way Rice Krispy Treats
Recipe from Mallow & Co
-24 "Fun-Sized" Milky Way bars, divided
-6 cups Rice Krispies
-5 Tbsp butter
-6 cups marshmallows
-1 tsp vanilla extract
Grease an 8x8 baking pan with Pam.
Chop up 8 Milky Way's into bite-sized pieces and place in a large bowl with Rice Krispies.
Chop the remaining Milky Way's into bite-sized pieces and melt with the butter in a saucepan over medium heat just until smooth. Turn heat to low and stir in marshmallows. When nearly smooth, stir in the vanilla.
Pour the hot marshmallow mixture over the Rice Kripies and stir gently to combine.
Pour into prepared baking pan and press lightly into the pan using greased fingers. Allow to cool about 30 minutes before cutting & eating.
