Berry Spritzer

Out here we have a casual soup and salad restaurant called Zupas.  It really is a wonderful place.  It makes salad haters like me love salad.  The 'Nuts about Berries' salad has sweet dressing, fresh strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries, and nuts that are roasted in brown sugar and cinnamon.  I mean... even I can eat that kind of a salad.

Every meal comes with a fresh slice of French bread and a chocolate-dipped strawberry.

But my favorite part is the drinks.  Zupas actually has Sprite Zero in their soda fountains.  AND they have a whole bunch of flavored syrups so you can customize drinks to your liking.  This Berry Spritzer is a recipe from the back of a Zupas cup.  I love it so much I bought the syrups to make it at home.

ZERO calories people!!

Berry Spritzer
Recipe adapted from Zupas Restaurant

-10 oz. Sprite Zero (This is one tall glass at my house)
- Crushed ice
-1.5 tsp Sugar Free Raspberry Torani Syrup*
-1-1.5 tsp Sugar Free Blackberry Torani Syrup*
- Fresh berries for garnish, if desired

Fill a glass 3/4 full with crushed ice and top with Sprite Zero.  Add Sugar-Free syrups.  Mix with a spoon and break up ice until uniform.  Garnish with berries.

*Because of differences in taste, and glass size, this measurement can totally be customized to your own tastes.  The blackberry syrup was hard for me to find, but the spritzer is nearly as good without it, so you can omit it if you really can't find it.

  1. LOVE Zupas! Just keep hoping they will build one by me. Last time I had a salad with strawberry and mango that was so yummy! I'll have to try their drinks next time (hopefully when we're up there).
