The knife block set we got for our wedding conveniently came with a whacker. You know, one of those long rods that you use to whack things like candy canes or Oreos to crush them?
Okay, so it turns out the "whacker" is actually a knife sharpener. Yes, I just figured that out today.
Who knew?
Everyone needs a good whacker in their knife set. Otherwise you couldn't make these babies.
White Chocolate Peppermint Oreo's
-Oreos
-White chocolate, white almond bark, or white candy melts (I used Hobby Lobby's candy melts)
-Candy canes or peppermints, crushed
Melt your chocolate in a bowl at 50% power in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds, until smooth, about 2 minutes.
Brush the crumbs gently off of each Oreo with a paper towel so they don't come off in the white chocolate mixture.
Use a dipping fork to slowly dip one Oreo down into the chocolate and cover completely. Flip if necessary. When Oreo is completely covered, pull it straight up, and tap the fork gently against the side of the bowl to remove excess chocolate.
Place Oreo on a baking tray lined with parchment paper to set. Sprinkle with peppermint pieces while still wet.
Allow to dry at room temperature or move to the refrigerator to speed the process.
Store in an airtight container, or the refrigerator if your chocolate doesn't set well at room temperature.
Ha! That's awesome! And those look & sound absolutely Yummy!!!!!!!!!
