Sometimes things don't work out as planned. I had this great idea for Olympic rings drinks that used gummi saver rings to flavor Sprite. (A lot like these Blowpop Drinks). When I got home and opened the bag I realized that green and red were the only Olympic rings colors in the bag. BUMMER!
So I googled Olympic Rings drinks and found that they actually served such a thing in Beijing several years ago! All I could find was a picture but it inspired me so I felt like I should post the link with my recipe below.
I ended up using miniature fruit slices to make my rings. You can read on to see the process but it's pretty easy. If, on the other hand you can find tropical gummisavers or something that come in yellow and blue, feel free to save yourself some time and just use those.
Let the games begin!

Olympic Rings Drinks
Inspiration from: This picture
-Sprite or Sprite Zero-Miniature Fruit Slices in assorted colors (I think I found mine at Walmart)
Remove two gummi slices of the same color.
Cut out the center color leaving only the colored rind behind.
Use a sharp knife to cut off a tad from each end (or it may be more oval) and smush the two pieces together. These are really sticky so they come together pretty easily.
Repeat for each color in the Olympic rings- I ignored black and just did red, blue, green, and yellow.
Immediately before serving, drop one ring of each color into a glass of Sprite.
After 5-10 minutes they will start to color the drink so be sure to wait until you are going to drink them to throw the rings in.
If you use gummisavers, you have a lot longer grace period before they will start to color your Sprite.
This is so creative! Totally love it.
