For Easter this year the kids and I made jelly bean spoons and wrapped them up in little cello bags with ribbon tied around them. They are super cute favor and a huge hit with kids although personally I can't stomach the chocolate/fruit combination. I think a Sixlet version is much more suited for adults although you can really put anything on them you want.
The key is to use a really nice chocolate, especially if you are giving them to adults.
It's sooo adult-like to eat candy off of spoons.
Jelly Bean Spoons
Adapted from DeliciousDeliciousDelicious
-1 bar good quality chocolate (milk, white, dark all work)
-plastic spoons
-Jelly beans, sixlets, sprinkles, or anything else you desire. (I used Jelly Belly spring mix from the dollar section at Target.)
Break your chocolate into pieces, place in a small bowl, and microwave at 50% power for 30 second intervals, stirring after each interval until melted smooth. Do not overheat.
Set your spoon ends on top of a small surface to raise the "spoon-bed" level, so that the chocolate won't run out when you fill them.
Spoon melted chocolate into each level spoon being careful not to overfill. Remember that the candy will add some volume so try to account for that. Add candy or sprinkles while chocolate is wet. (I highly advise using complimentary flavors of jelly bean on each spoon. Don't use popcorn flavor. Just don't do it!)
Allow to cool to room temperature or until hardened completely. Package up individually in cello bags if desired.

I love these! Very cool. And I agree, sixlets over jelly beans. :)
